De différents côtés on nous a adressé des consultations au sujet de la liberté dont jouissent les chanoines par rapport aux offices votifs, concédés par Léon XIII dans le Décret général du 5 Juillet 1883. Répondre en particulier a cha cune de ces demandes, nous obligerait à nous répéter tout en restant incomplet. Nous avons donc préféré traiter la question dans son ensemble, persuadé de mieux satisfaire de la sorte aux désirs de nos honorables consultants.
