It was the Opinion' of the great Lord Somers, That the bent and genius of the age is belt known in a free country, by the pamphlets and papers which daily come f' out, as containing the {cafe of parties, and fometimes the voice of the nation. The authority may be teen in the front of Lord Somers's Tracts: If thefe anecdotes had been printed in the fugitive periodical papers of the times, they muft undoubtedly have clail'ed under his Lord lhip's defcription. It is prefumed, that 'neither the delay, nor the form of printing, will diminith the judgment of (0 refpectable a recommendation.
