I had alfo afriend/hip with the Reverend Dr. Diber, the late Learned Archbzyhop of Armagh 5 and with Dr. Morton, the late Learned and Charitable Bzfirop 0 Durham 5 as alfo with the Learned John Hales of Baron Col/ed e5 andwith them 41 0 (who loved the very name of Mr. Hooker) I have had many dtourfes concerning him5 and from them, and many others that have now put of Mortality, I might have had more Informa tions, if I could then have admitted a thought of any fitnefs' for what by perfwa?on I have now undertaken, But, though that full Harve/l be irrecoverably lo?, yet my Memory hath prqferved f ome Gleanings, and my diligence made fuch Additions to them, as I hope will prove ufeful to the compleating of what I intend.
