Anne-Marie has to leave her beloved dog, Maudie, behind in Australia when she comes to spend a year in an English village. But she soon gets caught up in the story of another girl who lived many centuries ago, and who also missed her much-loved dog - the mysterious ghost dog that beckons to Anne-Marie, asking for help. As the adventure unfolds, Anne-Marie becomes instrumental in reuniting the ghost dog with her owner, Lady Jane, a girl who lived in the village about 400 years before Anne-Marie's arrival.
