This book has been written for students and teachers embarking on CIE's AS & A Level Literature in English (9695) Paper 3 Section B, which will be examined in 2020.The idea behind this guide is to mostly point students and teachers towards language techniques used by the writer, which covers a lot of what is wanted by examiners in Assessment Objective 2 (AO2) and how form, structure and language shape meanings. The simple comprehension tasks and the higher-level questioning should ensure that all students are reading actively, while working primarily on the AO that many find the most challenging.
