The 442nd Troop Carrier Group carried over 700 paratroopers of the 82nd Airborne's 507th Parachute Infantry Regiment toward Drop Zone T Sainte-Mère-Église, France.
This book documents the World War II heroes of the last 9 airplanes in Serial 26. My family relation, Private Charles H. Coates, is among those 82nd Airborne paratroopers who risked their lives on D-Day.
