Publisher's Synopsis
I've never been much for diets.Dieting always seemed like a short-term solution with some newfangled technique I didn't trust. Skip the carbs! Eat like cavemen! Only protein!I'm a realist. I knew I needed to lose weight and get healthy, but I was never going to stop eating pizza or going out to restaurants. Any diet seemed like a waste of time, because I knew I'd just gain it all back once I inevitably quit. I needed something different, something permanent. So I didn't start a diet - I changed my diet.I changed the way I ate and when I ate and how I lived. I made little changes, changes I could handle, things I could stick with.I'm not a doctor or fitness expert. I'm just a guy who decided to get healthy. Here are 50 little things I learned and did to help me lose 60 pounds. It took 18 months, and it's been just as much a battle keeping it off since, but it's a battle worth fighting.
