Publisher's Synopsis
Niagara Scenery Photographer, John Hartig, has spent 20 years photographing his favourite 5 Waterfalls in the Niagara Peninsula. There are perhaps 10 of them. The ones he prefers include: -Lower Ball's Falls-Upper Ball's Falls-Rockway Falls-Decew Falls and-Niagara FallsJohn packs up his camera, his lunch and sometimes the bicycle in the back of his hatchback car and drives off for a photographic jaunt, most often during the autumn or spring, best times of year for colour. Sometimes, he picks winter. These 5 waterfalls are all within short driving distances from his home in Vineland. The shortest, Ball's Falls, about a 10 minute drive and the longest, Niagara Falls, about a half hour drive. He makes sure it's a sunny day and dresses warmly if it's a bit fresh. When he's out on a hiking trail, he tucks his camera under his coat to keep it snugly warm. John Hartig has produced a bunch of John's Photobooks in the past year to keep busy during this Covid crisis. 2020 has been a bad year for isolation and 2021 might not be any better with the second wave. Thank goodness for photography and the computer. John has exhumed the photos he took at various times of the lovely waterfalls in the Niagara Peninsula and designed another Photobook here for people to enjoy: 5 Waterfalls in the Niagara Peninsula.
