Publisher's Synopsis
5-7-5 is a collection of poems, worked in the long since internationalized Japanese form of haikai, of which haiku is a part, with original visual art frontpieces by each of the three authors. Consistent with the approaches of the poets, the work progresses from somewhat ironic through a complex overlaid meaning and word play to a sweet resolution such as might have been sought by the original practitioners.
