Publisher's Synopsis
The 24 Caprices for Solo Violin were written by Niccolò Paganini between 1802 and 1817. In the times before Paganini, a virtuous solo cadenza in a concerto movement or sonata for violin was called a capriccio. Since their publication the Caprices have remained the defining milestone of violin technique. This edition is based on the autograph and offers a spacious layout allowing plenty of room to add personal fingering and bowing. Some solutions have been suggested in parentheses.
