Publisher's Synopsis
Good poetry must reflect how the poet views the world, often in a scratched glass way. In 2 Whispers, the poet's style is minimalist and almost terse. His poetry contains much by way of understatement and is full of emotion. Like Thomas Hardy he believes that poetry should be written when charged with emotion. Free verse is his main canvas and with deft strokes and subtle colours he paints as he sees the world and life. No man can capture the heavens and no man should rot in hell but time is the enemy forward and none shall break its spell. The title of this collection comes from one of the featured poems Two Whispers: January like two whispers shakes Monday's ache with cold and want the wind asleep dreams sweet of zebra skies and lemon storms the yellow sea laps the sand red leaves more than an angry sun
