Now, in 1828, we are endeavoring to add further to the usefulness of our catalogue. We have our Table of Ratings but in what is, we believe, a more easily read and useful form. Instead of the ratings for root-making and for root-keeping, we have provided one rating only, that for Plant Vigor which we believe, for all practical purposes will embrace the former two qualities. The quality of Plant Vigor also includes in any given variety, the tendency to throw stunts. It has been found that stunting is confined to certain varieties only, others being free from stunts.
