Publisher's Synopsis
Excerpt from 1925 Pryor's Catalogue of High-Grade Strawberry Plants, Dewberry Plants and Asparagus Roots
It gives me great pleasure to present to you my annual strawberry plant catalogue. I regard all those who have dealt with me as friends and I would be glad to meet each one of you personally and thank you for your liberal patronage in the past, but this would take a long time so Will have to be content to send the printed page for I am kept busy growing my high quality plants. It takes a lot of work to grow plants right, and I am sat isfied with nothing but the best plants that it is possible to grow, as the best is none too good for my customers and the many letters of appreciation I have received about my plants show that I ship plants that please and produce results. I am departing from my usual custom (i have never printed testi monials in my catalogue before) and printing just a few of them.
It is my constant aim to grow and ship only plants of the highest quality, that are true to name and free from disease and packed in the best possible way and to give each customer the same kind of treatment I would want to receive were I buying plants from them. Your success is my success, there fore, when you place your order with me, I assure you I will do everything I can to make the transaction a paying one for you.
There is reported a shortage in plants in most all sections and I know there is not near as many in this section, and I consider myself fortunate in having a fine lot of plants, about the largest supply I have ever had all grown on high land and have nice bright roots, are large, heavy-rooted, strong and vigorous just the kind you want to plant this spring for a big crop of berries next season. I would be pleased to receive your order for some of these plants and solicit your patronage again this year because I believe I can give you much more than a dollar in value for every dollar sent me and I guaran tee to give you satisfaction or refund your money and to those who have never dealt with me are cordially invited to send me a trial order as I am sure I can serve you to your satisfaction and profit.
