Publisher's Synopsis
The 12 pieces are meditative miniatures with meaningful programme titles, ranging from those tied to nature's greatest miracle - water (titles translate to: Water, Wave, Vardar, Rain), dance-themes (Forbidden Dance), philosophical (New World, Happiness), and even include a Fairy Tale for Granny. The musical syntax used by the composer is traditional and throughout tonal; however, the compositions contrast each other and vary in style from faster virtuoso pieces, which can feature interesting rhythm signatures and also a subtext rooted in folklore (such as Vardar), to calmer more meditative pieces.
