Publisher's Synopsis
A true story and inside look into the opioid epidemic. The story unfolds in a series of text messages between family members during a 12 day span. It is a raw and intimate first-hand sharing of the impact of drug addiction. It examines the issues of having a loved one fighting addiction. Both medical and psychological consequences are explored. It is intended to provoke re-thinking of common stereotypes about addicts by putting a face on the illness. This is in contrast to the practice of automatically putting addicts in to one big faceless category. Each addict is an individual with a unique story that is battling a horrifying illness.
