La mitología nos ha proporcionado innumerables personajes que han pasado a la historia por sus acciones sobrenaturales, desde símbolos griegos como Zeus, a nórdicos como Odín, difícil de expresar qué mitos, dioses, deidades o personajes de ficción (por ejemplo Ulises) han de quedar en nuesta mente como favoritos.
Repasamos distintas mitologías como (entre otros):

Describiendo brevemente a cada personaje para saber quién es quién dentro del mundo mitológico, y como muestra del contenido del libro, un botón:
Aquiles ( Aquiles ) fue el más valiente de los héroes griegos en la guerra de Troya. Era hijo de Peleo, rey de Tesalia. Su madre, Thetis, lo sumergió, cuando era un niño, en el estanque de Estigia, lo que lo hizo invulnerable dondequiera que las aguas lo hubieran lavado; pero el talón que lo sujetaba no estaba mojado y esa parte seguía siendo vulnerable. Fue disparado con una flecha en el talón por Paris, en el sitio de Troya, y murió de su herida.
EDWARD S. ELLISNacido en 1840 y fallecido en 1916, Edward S. Ellis fue un profesor y periodista que escribió multitud de libros y revistas, sobretodo de historia. Durante su vida empleó muchos seudónimos como:
