Description: frontispieces to first five volumes, the first two colour-printed, and illustrations throughout (some full-page) by Pauline Baynes, pp. 173; 195; 223; 217; 199; 183; 184, crown 8vo, original boards of varying colours, backstrips lettered in silver, light spotting to top edges of a few volumes, endpaper maps on vols 2-5, ownership inscriptions to flyleaves of first and penultimate volumes, the latter with paper residue to same from prior label, dustjackets, those to fourth and xith volumes price-clipped, a little nicked, chipped and rubbed in places, that to Magician's Nephew foxed, very good condition overall
