Publication Details: Birmingham: Typis Johannis Baskerville, 1761
Notes: The classical quarto with which Baskerville followed his Virgil, a full decade in advance of the series he produced in 1772-3. Gaskell notes that the poorer paper of the cancellantia and final gatherings is 'now stained badly in purplish patches', but the present copy shows more typical brown foxing on those leaves, which have evidence of damp which must predate their insertion into the volume (it does not affect the other leaves).
