Description: engraved frontispiece, portrait of author in a roundel to title-page, typographic headpiece, pp. 512, 64mo, slightly later binding of full teal morocco [by G.T. Bagguley of Newcastle-under-Lyme?], both boards with a thistle design in gilt to borders, backstrip also with gilt thistle design lettered in gilt within a leaf, the turn-ins continuing thistle-motif, marbled endpapers, a.e.g., note presenting this copy laid in (see below), in custom clack morocco slipcase, this with a small section missing to top

Notes: Though not signed, this is likely a binding by G.T. Bagguley, the Staffordshire bookseller and binder – hitherto in the family by descent, the laid in note presents it from L.E. Galey to an 'E.M.B.' in 1919 on the eve of a voyage; amongst the siblings of George Thomas Bagguley there was both Elsie May and Eva Mary.
