Description: facsimile of the original manuscript with collotype reproductions of the artist's watercolours, pen-and-ink drawings, woodcuts and photographs, pp. [iv], 204, 4to, in a contemporary binding of full green morocco by Herzogs of Stockholm (Egil Andersson), gilt panels and tooling (floral motif) to both boards, the backstrip lettered and decorated in gilt, this a little darkened, attractive patterned endpapers with a fern design in blue and red, a little insect damage at foot of rear hinge, bookplate of John Roland Abbey to initial blank and his purchase notes at rear, slipcase of morocco and pink and green batik paper, very good

Notes: The copy of book-collector J.R. Abbey, with his bookplate - it subsequently passed into the collection of the Earl of Perth, though without mark of this latter provenance. The first edition of this facsimile, produced from the original in the possession of Julius Meier-Graefe, was published in Munich in 1926.
