Trevelyan provides a 'Cambridge blessing', in the form of a Foreword, to the republication of these articles that originally appeared in the Pall Mall Gazette and here bear the author's name for the first time. The recipient of this copy was Thomas Rice Henn, the Yeats scholar and tutor at St. Catharine's College. An appealing association copy, which brings together three generations of eminent Cambridge men.
