Description: FIRST AMERICAN EDITION, from the English sheets, wood-engraved title illustrations, a full-page engraving and 13 others in the text by Robert Gibbings, some light foxing largely restricted to page-heads, pp. 53, 8vo, original green cloth, backstrip lettered in black with a little wear at tips, cloth darkened to borders, one corner gently bumped, a couple of inkspots top top edge, foxing to edges and endpapers, dustjacket (that of the Golden Cockerel Press edition, so perhaps supplied), good

Notes: Inscribed by A.E. Coppard on the flyleaf, for a US book-dealer and collector: 'For H.A. Rappaport, Here's "Rummy", Cor lummy! A.E. Coppard, May 14, 1955'. The American edition is from the English sheets, but it is unclear what portion of the 1,000 copies on machine-made paper was given over to it.
