Notes: With a Foreword by H.F.B. Brett-Smith, and a Note following the text by A.H. Bullen. The text was printed by the latter, but published posthumously - the Note following the text likewise, following his instructions, whilst Brett-Smith's Foreword considers Bullen's scholarship and the work of the Press. The note regarding the identification of The Dark Lady is in a hand not unlike Rowse's and dated 5.11.81; the temptation to ascribe it to him is vexed, however, by the mistake of calling her Elizabeth rather than Emilia Bassano - an unlikely lapse for the scholar in question....more
