[Sheridan (Richard Brinsley)]

Songs, Duetts, Choruses, &c.

In an occasional entertainment called Cape St. Vincent; Or, British Valour Triumphant. Altered from a dramatick entertainment performed 1794. And acted by Their Majesties Servants, at the Theatre Royal, Drury-Lane

Description: woodcut royal arms on title, pp. [xii], 8vo, uncut except top edge, disbound

Publication Details: Printed by C. Lowndes, No. 66, Drury-Lane, next the Stage-Door, and sold in the Theatre, 1797

Notes: The dialogue of 'Cape St. Vincent', which is a revised version of 'The glorious first of June', is by Richard Brinsley Sheridan and James Cobb; many of the songs are by the Duke of Leeds, Lord Mulgrave, Mrs. Robinson, etc. (Nicoll). Printed on a better paper than one might expect. The last printed page (verso blank) reads simply: Finale. Rule Britannia, Songs and Chorus: printing the words would obviously have been superfluous. ESTC records just Bodley and Huntington.
