Libellus de sphaera.

Accesit eiusdem autoris Computus Ecclesiasticus, et alia quaedam in studiosorum gratiam edita [by Reinholtd. Cum Praefatione Phi: Melanthonis].

Description: woodcut armillary sphere on title, with numerous woodcuts in De sphaera (lacking volvelles), minor repairs to title-page (not affecting text), a little damp-staining, extensive contemporary annotations by Nicolaus Quernus of Riga, and extensive MS notes bound at end (36 leaves, a few pages blank: see below), a censored copy with Melancthon's name inked out wherever it appears, his preface not included, &c, [126 of 134 leaves], small 8vo, recased in its (probably) original binding of blind stamped pigskin, very rubbed, and a bit worn at extremities

Publication Details: [colophon:] Wittemberg: Johann Crato, 1553
