Notes: Complete (atlas vol. sometimes wanting) and in the original boards. There are a few notes in pencil, indicating a close reading, but once read, the set seems to have enjoyed a very quiet life. 'Macculoch's most important book. The numerous islands described, large and small [and including Man], many of which had not previously been examined by geologists, contain rocks ranging in age from Precambrian to Tertiarty, including many igneous rocks.
