Notes: Not the prettiest of things, but a seemingly unrecorded item. The author begins by saying that the lack of proper education is what gives rise to the 'grande corruption' which prevails both in civil society and in the Church, and he states that the education of girls is just as important as that of boys. The instructions are mainly religious: towards the end other suitable subjects are brought forward, including geography, history (including Classical history), music, housekeeping, good manners, restraint in speaking, &c.
