Notes: The Rev. Kenneth Loveless MBE (for services to Morris dancing) was Britten's inspiration for the 'Voice of God' and performed the part for the production at All Saints' Church, East Finchley in April 1959 - a community project which was much closer to Britten's original intention for the production of the work than the professional premiere the previous year at the Aldeburgh Festival.
