Notes: An interesting contemporary manuscript copy of this satire of Rochester, written in the wake of the Popish Plot. This is a long version, and it exhibits a number of variations from printed texts - most noticeably in the last line, where we have 'make Charles great again?', instead of 'make Charles king again?', and in the tenth stanza, where 'Would you once bless the English Nation?' becomes 'Would you now look to heal our Nation?'
