Notes: A substantial and interesting Commonplace Book, with unfortunately no indication as to the compiler. The first part might be called Philosophy, and the second, Science. Philosophy covers much else besides philosophy, which is chiefly taken from Locke and Bacon, including the early history of Britain (e.g. Stonehenge), the migrations of the Barbarians, Chinese, Arabick and Persian philosophy, Conduct, Wit, Breeding, Passions, &c.
