Notes: Inscribed by the author on the half-title: 'To Michel Salaman, With John Rodker's kind regards, Aug 1927'. The recipient was a Jewish patron of the arts best remembered for his friendship with Augustus and Gwen John. Eliot reviewed the present work in the Nation & Athenaeum and, though responding warmly to the influence of T.E. Hulme and Wyndham Lewis, found Rodker's prognosis wanting in its perspective.
