Notes: An eulogy of the Senior Service, with plenty of detail, including an Index of Words, Terms, and Nautical Phrases, and an Explanation of the ranks of the Navy, and the anatomy of a ship. The Preface contains a heart-felt plea for the improvement of Naval pay. There are half a dozen copies in US libraries recorded by WorldCat, but in COPAC there is but one, Bodleian Library.
