Notes: A letter to William Penn offering him advice about his relations in the royal court and the response by Penn on freedom of religion. There are six versions of this recorded in ESTC, various printers and settings; Wing lists this after a ghost Third edition. In this setting the first 2 pages are in a slightly larger type than the remaining. William Popple (1638-1708) moved 'from Hull to London in the early 1660s to embark on a career as a merchant.
