This mosaic-like novel written thirty years ago and revisited by the author in his latest work, Mac and His Setback, is the story about the voices that a narrator has had throughout his life. In it, he narrates about the only home that is forever: fiction.
A Home Forever begins with a crime of passion -at dawn and resentful- committed by a famous retired ventriloquist. But this does not retell the story of that murder, nor of the flight of its perpetrator. This is the story about the voices that the narrator, the ventriloquist, has had throughout his life and how his own voice has been diluted in the shadow of all those other stories he harbors in his memory; a story that teaches us that the only forever home is fiction.
