Publisher's Synopsis

The Rome Radio and TV Orchestra and Chorus perform Puccini's opera 'Tosca', conducted by Zubin Mehta. Singers include Placido Domingo, Catherine Malfitano and Ruggero Raimondi. In Rome, 1800, former consul Cesare Angelotti seeks refuge with the painter Cavaradossi in the Attavanti chapel. Cavaradossi's lover Tosca, however, believes that he has another woman, and betrays him and Angelotti to Baron Scarpia, the chief of police.
