The air of this world is so poisonous that without a gas mask it is impossible to peek into airtight shelters, in rivers instead of water there is caustic acid, and the earth is covered with a white fog in which predatory creatures hide. People survive as best they can, they have long forgotten about nobility and mutual aid and fight for food, drink, clothing and whatever little things they like. No one can be trusted, especially those who have mutated and can now safely breathe the poisonous air of the planet.
