When astronauts find a mysterious metallic chest near a crashed alien craft on the moon and bring it back to Earth, a series of horrific events unfolds at NASA. Upon opening, the lunar discovery unleashes a phantasm which annihilates everything in its path, leaving no survivors to warn of its existence. The sinister vapor lies dormant for years, until the chest is taken to a state-of-the art government science facility-the Red Phoenix in Arizona-for storage. A new round of terror arises when a crazed scientist attempts to utilize the foreign power and causes the destruction of the complex and a catastrophic, fifteen mile radius nuclear jungle. Former Special Forces operative, Chris Michaels, is trapped far below the surface and is surrounded by violent, mutated people. His only hope for making it through the maze of rubble is to join forces with the team of twelve clones he helped to create. After he learns officials hold him responsible for the disaster and the White House has dispatched Commander Braddock and his army to eliminate all survivors, he enters a new crucible of hell. In order to clear his name he will have to rely on skill and instinct. It's a war he plans to win. The Red Phoenix 12 races towards a cataclysmic conclusion deep in the Arizona desert where Michaels and his team must evade Braddock's soldiers, battle blood-thirsty creatures, and survive the infested nuclear jungle if he hopes to make it across enemy lines alive.
