Publisher's Synopsis
This single-volume reference work is a compilation of photos, maps and explanatory text tracing the ruthlessness of Nazism through the systematic murder of over six million Jews and other "undesirables". A visual documentation with more than 400 photographs, taken at a time when such photography was against the law in Germany and its occupied territories. These pictures were collected at the archives of the Yad Vashem (The Holocaust Martyrs and Heroes' Remembrance Authority) in Jerusalem and from private collections, many of which have never before been released. There is also a bibliography and a list of maps.
