Cachete almost slipped on a two-for-one green seedless grape as he turned the corner at speed. Out of the corner of his eye, he saw the girls from the vegan aisle wheel a 50-caliber price reduction gun into position. They opened fire and the entire prepacked cooked meat aisle, including the Iberian luxury meats shelf, was reduced to nothing, absolutely nothing. There was pandemonium. As she tried to reach Cachete, Celeste opened a two-pack box of fresh cream chocolate eclairs and lobbed it towards the baying crowd of cake-hungry bargain hunters, blocking the aisle and trampling Cachete's and Celeste's pursuers. Cachete and Celeste could now escape into the supermarket's warren of corridors and warehouses, and freedom.
