Publisher's Synopsis
This book provides the basic skills and knowledge required to succeed within the paediatric setting. The material is presented at a level which assumes mastery of basic history taking and physical examination in adults. This text emphasizes findings in the healthy child. Variations of normal and commonly encountered pathology have been added as a second "layer" on the foundation. The emphasis on "normal" reflects the authors prejudice about the field of paediatrics and the logical way to go about learning its content: a study of normalcy should always precede a study of pathology.
