David, a prince of the realm, is asked by the king his father to retrieve the pearl from whoever possesses it. In a country to the west. David believes it will be a routine, ordinary buying trip. But his father warns him that there may be more to it than that. There may be danger. He leaves for the west. And danger stalks him on many legs. Thus begins the adventure of The Pearl.
