Publisher's Synopsis

Excerpt from The Modulus, 1922: Rose Polytechnic Institute

Chauncey Rose was one of eight children, six brothers and one sister. Naturally the children grew up. With greater self reliance and clearer ideas of the duties of mutual helpfulness than would have otherwise been the case. His six brothers and his sister all died before Chauncey, and were all childless. So, when at the age of eighty three, he died also childless, he was the last of his race.
