Publisher's Synopsis
The Last Wild Place is a collection of poems that trace the courageous path of a heroine's journey: embracing Nature as mother and muse, refuge and crucible of transformation, we are transported into the inner nature of the body, the body as wilderness with its own mysterious and erotic ecosystem of sensations and passions, impulses and revelations. Crossing threshholds into numinous worlds of disintegration and redemption, we descend into darkness and the hidden and emerge exultantly into the luminosity of the Spirit. Through language that is simple and accessible, yet palpably earthy and passionately searing, we are invited to celebrate our own human physicality as a source of intuitive wisdom and an immanent expression of the Divine.
