Gordianus meets Caesar and the legendary Cleopatra It is 48BC. Rival Roman generals Pompey and Caesar have turned to Egypt in their contest for world domination. But Egypt itself is torn apart by the murderous rivalry between the goddess-queen and her brother, King Ptolemy. Into this hothouse atmosphere of intrigue comes Gordianus the Finder, seeking a cure for his wife in the sacred waters of the Nile.
