Publisher's Synopsis

Excerpt from The Influence and History of the Boston Athenum From 1807 to 1907: With a Record of Its Officers and Benefactors and a Complete List of Proprietors

It would be too much to say that these are never errors; but by a careful study of manuscript sources many corrections have been made. Joseph Coolidge, who subscribed and did pay, has never before received recognition in the list.
