Publisher's Synopsis

The story is about a young girl who lives at No.9 Honey Lane and who is bored while her mother is busy playing with her little brother in the garden. She wants to play chase!

At that same moment a swarm of honeybee flies into the garden and settles down onto one of the apple trees. Her mother calls the local Beekeeper to collect the swarm. When the beekeeper is just about to climb on his ladder to reach the bees, Mum notices that the swarm is starting to fly away into the next-door garden!

By then, Dad has arrived back from work and can only follow his wife, daughter, son and the Beekeeper (with his paraphernalia), into the street via the side gate and to the next-door neighbours' front door. The group goes from House No. 11 to No. 13, 15 and 17 and in each garden the bees are either settling down too deep inside the tree, high in the tree or are too fast and finally decide to move on into the dark forest at the end of Honey Lane.

Every time, the girl leads the way and ask her neighbours to let the group into their garden to catch the bees. She is determined to save them. Will she be able to save the bees? Why not join her on the chase!
