David Roberts is one of the most renowned British landscape painters of the 19th century. In 1838 he embarked on an explorative journey to Egypt and Palestine. These two volumes, enclosed in a slipcase, contain the six original portfolios published in London from 1842 to 1849, accompanied by the commentaries by George Croly and William Brockedon.
