In The Anti-Christ at the Gates of Purgatory, the author also provides a romantically charged story involving several people, playing out on several different levels, including an obsession with a ship. Through the achievements and tribulations of this larger-than-life character, including astounding businesses successes and personal failures, the real Anti-Christ just might have emerged. Pundits and laymen have been puzzled, and an Anti-Christ might be spotted and identified along the way. Will the real Anti-Christ prevail at the end, or is there more to this story?
Author Attila d'Hun Gyarmati was born in Hungary and lived there during the darkest days of Communism. From his early childhood, he dreamed of coming to the United States and fervently planned his escape through the Iron Curtain. During the 1956 Hungarian Revolution, he tried to escape. The 13-year-old was captured and spent time in a military prison.
At age 27 he immigrated to the United States. In his native tongue, he was a great storyteller from his early age, but it took him decades to achieve that level of proficiency in English. He continued his higher education at CSUN and earned a bachelor degree in urban studies and a masters degree in public administration. While working as a civil servant, he earned his teaching credentials at UCLA, and becoming an educator, he fulfilled his lifelong dream.
