Publisher's Synopsis

This user-friendly, 30-session school-based programme aims to ensure that ASD girls and young women aged 10-18 can and do develop good mental health, including appropriate levels of autonomy, emotional resilience and communication skills. Each session includes a detailed plan for the teacher with guidance notes and timings. The sessions last approximately 1-1.5 hours, but can be adapted to suit individual group requirements. Sessions include all handouts, which can be photocopied or printed from the enclosed CD-ROM. The guidance notes are explicit regarding when, where and how to use each of the activity handouts. There are also clear indications when any additional resources may be needed. Also included is a comprehensive PowerPoint Training Session for use with staff, parents and carers
