When his father gets a new job, Little Chicken is forced to move away from his friends and country home to a new city. Just when he thinks this new home will forever be gloomy and lonely, he encounters a band of friendly strawberries who invite him to play. Happy to have new friends, he begins to like his new city home. Sadly, after sharing with his parents details of his new friends, his parents say strawberries and chickens aren't allowed to play because of their differences. Little Chicken reluctantly shares with his strawberry friends that he can't play because of their differences and expects their friendship to end that day. But, to his delight, and to help him feel like he belongs, the strawberries gift Little Chicken something that makes him happy and gives him the courage to stand up for their friendship. But will his parents change their mind?
